The Pines is a new venue in Historic Halifax, NC. Sallie’s parents own this home so it was only fitting for her to be one of the first to be married there.
This was truly a garden wedding, where the landscape itself, its history and its beauty became the setting. A gorgeous wreath of white roses, stargazer lilies, orchids, alstroemeria and seeded eucalyptus graced the iron gate and was the single decoration in this simple, understated, yet classically elegant wedding.
For this wedding, we were there to capture the beauty of The Pines as a wedding venue. Talk about details! Wow!
The Pines is ready for your wedding with minimal decorations.
Copper torches, colonial cressets and antique lanterns filled with candles lit the evening garden where guests gathered after the wedding supper
for the cake cutting and their champagne toasts. Small round tables set with white orchids and tea lights were placed beneath the spreading limbs of the pecan tree, underlit by the reflected firelight.
One of my favorite images is the one of Sallie and Ryan by an antique wrought iron gate by the openwork brick walled garden. A large wreath of white roses, stargazer lilies, orchids, alstroemeria and seeded eucalyptus graced the iron gate beneath a pair of original antique concrete planters filled with white sun impatiens and white buttercups. Old fashioned ferns and an antique rose bush flanked either side of the garden gate.
We wish The Pines much success as the area’s newest wedding venue and look forward to being part of many weddings there in the near future.
